What's a Fanlisting?

A fanlisting is a web clique that lists fans of a particular subject. Unlike most web cliques, a person does not need a web site in order to join. Fans from around the world submit their information to their approved fanlisting and they are then listed to show their love for the subject. (The Anime Fanlisting FAQ).

What's Aurora Borealis?

Aurora Borealis is a worldwide fanlist dedicated to the one of the aspirants for the Cygnus cloth and later on, turned into one of the Marina Generals of Poseidon’s army, Kraken Isaac, from animanga Saint Seiya, Knights of the Zodiac.

Also, is the name of the most powerful attack of this cold but awesome warrior.

Isaac’s true ideals were peace and justice, so he trained hard under Camus guidance (Crystal in Anime) to become a Saint and fullfill his desire. He wanted to be as fair as the sea monster called Kraken, whose terrible anger reigned upon the pirates and those who do evil.

His partner in this training for the Cygnus cloth was Hyoga whose wish for becoming a Saint was completely different to Isaac’s one, being a more selfish one.

They became close friends and admire each other. But one day, Isaac knew Hyoga’s true intentions and he attacked his friend with anger, scolding him that a true Saint must never use his own powers for himself. Isaac was completely disappointed with Hyoga and let him to go on his own.

Nevertheless, when Hyoga’s life was under risk, Isaac ran to rescue him from the frozen waters of the ocean where Hyoga’s mum was buried. Thus, his left eye was pierced by a sharp piece of ice and meanwhile he burned all his remaining cosmos to thrown Hyoga’s body out of the cold waters, he was swept away by the strong current.

Nearly to die, a big dark shadow that resembled Isaac’s admired mythical monster, the Kraken, saved him and carried him to the legendary Undersea Sanctuary in Atlantis. It was Poseidon’s will that granted him for a second chance to live.

Isaac pledged his loyalty to the Emperor of the Seas, as soon as he learned about Poseidon’s dream for a perfect world, full of justice and peace, becoming the guardian of the Arctic Sea pillar.

During the Holy War against Athena’s bronze Saints, Isaac and Hyoga met again as rivals this time.

What Hyoga found was not the Isaac he knew once but and aggressive, emotionless ruthlessness man full of hatred and deep grudge. To Isaac’s eyes, all Poseidon’s enemies must die even if they were women or children, as if he has forgotten his true ideals he fight for.

Hyoga was furious and burned his cosmos awakening again the 7th sense and due to this, his cloth started to irradiate a golden shine. He attacked Isaac with his Aurora Execution at the same time that the Kraken replied with his most powerful attack, Aurora Borealis.

This time, Isaac was defeated but seemed that the boy that was Hyoga’s best friend has returned. Before dying, Isaac congratulated Hyoga and once more, he advised his friend of whom was behind of all this battle, the Guardian of the North Atlantic Pillar: the Sea Dragon General.

What's Saint Seiya?

Saint Seiya, also known as Knights of the Zodiac, is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Masami Kurumada and serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump from 1986 to 1991, and adapted into an anime TV series by Toei Animation from 1986 to 1989.

The story follows five mystical warriors called the "Saints" (or "Knights") who fight wearing sacred armors named "Cloths" which designs derive from the various constellations the characters have adopted as their guardian symbols. These Saints have sworn to defend the reincarnation of the Greek goddess Athena in her battle against the other Olympian gods who want to dominate Earth.

Both the anime and manga were very successful in Japan and several European countries but neither of them were translated in English until 2003. The anime series won the Animage Anime Grand Prix prize in 1987 and four animated feature films were even shown in Japanese theaters. However the anime was cancelled and left unfinished in 1989. In 2002, Toei Animation continued the anime in the form of various OVA series (the final one ended in 2008), in order to adapt the remaining manga story arcs, and following this revival of the franchise, a fifth film was screened in 2004.
