What's a Fanlisting?

A fanlisting is a web clique that lists fans of a particular subject. Unlike most web cliques, a person does not need a web site in order to join. Fans from around the world submit their information to their approved fanlisting and they are then listed to show their love for the subject. (The Anime Fanlisting FAQ).

What's The King of Light?

The King of Light is a worldwide fanlist dedicated to the luminous and lionhearted character from animanga Saint Seiya, Knights of the Zodiac, Leo Aioria.

He is the guardian of the 5th temple of the Zodiac, and the younger brother of Sagittarius Aiolos. His brother was considered a traitor since he was accused of trying to kill the goddess Athena. Aiolos died and left this burden on his young brother. Despite this, he always honoured his brotherís memory after knowing the truth about Aiolosí acts.

Leo Aioria is the first Gold Saint that fought against the Bronze Saints before Sanctuary Battle started. Also, he is the first in joining forces to fight for the true Athena.

Aioria is shown as a reference among the other Saints since he represents justice and strength. He is an example of a skillful warrior, lionhearted, honest, that obeys and fulfil the rules without a doubt even when he is against them.

Also, he is very impulsive, hot-blooded and strong-minded allowing his emotions to control him.

His main attacks are Lightning Plasma and Lightning Bolt which are similar to rays of light that combine with his golden cloth, turning him into The King of Light.

What's Saint Seiya?

Saint Seiya, also known as Knights of the Zodiac, is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Masami Kurumada and serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump from 1986 to 1991, and adapted into an anime TV series by Toei Animation from 1986 to 1989.

The story follows five mystical warriors called the "Saints" (or "Knights") who fight wearing sacred armors named "Cloths" which designs derive from the various constellations the characters have adopted as their guardian symbols. These Saints have sworn to defend the reincarnation of the Greek goddess Athena in her battle against the other Olympian gods who want to dominate Earth.

Both the anime and manga were very successful in Japan and several European countries but neither of them were translated in English until 2003. The anime series won the Animage Anime Grand Prix prize in 1987 and four animated feature films were even shown in Japanese theaters. However the anime was cancelled and left unfinished in 1989. In 2002, Toei Animation continued the anime in the form of various OVA series (the final one ended in 2008), in order to adapt the remaining manga story arcs, and following this revival of the franchise, a fifth film was screened in 2004.
